Devaraj Southworth Talks Mobile Payments at Ad Week 2011 Events
This week, Devaraj Southworth, VP of Online & Mobile Product Strategy for Enterprise Growth, participated in two mobile industry conferences as part of Advertising Week 2011.
The Brand Innovators Summit, which took place on Tuesday, explored how digital media and new technology platforms change the way brands engage with their consumers, and how media is bought and sold. The conference featured best practices, case studies and proof points about what’s working and what’s not for leading brands. Panel discussions were told “by brands, for brands” in a collegial peer-to-peer environment.
Devaraj kicked off his presentation with a brief introduction on Serve and then shared his thoughts on what he’s seen work in mobile, how apps will evolve in the future, and the convergence of our online and offline lives.
The third annual Mobile Media Summit brought together the mobile industry’s thought leaders to discuss how companies and developers can use apps to drive innovation and revenue. Devaraj shared his expertise about upcoming technologies and trends, while promoting Serve during the “Tap That App—Apps that are Driving Innovation and Making Money Along the Way” discussion panel.
The panel covered what’s Hot or Not in the world of mobile, including location-based advertising, NFC-enabled phones, and tablets. Devaraj shared his opinions on the top features of mobile apps that drive innovation and revenue. He highlighted Serve’s user strategy model and the importance of industry partnerships to maximize reach and functionality.
Devaraj’s participation in Advertising Week is yet another example of Serve ambassadors on the move. Serve has quickly garnered a reputation as a group of innovators and thinkers and as a result, folks will continue to see Serve’s presence expand into even more industry events including Web 2.0, CTIA and Mobile Contactless Payments (All taking place in this month!).
